'Inspirational!' 'Incredibly thought provoking.'

Fundraising audiences have loved Nick Thomas's presentation on 'How to spice up your fundraising'.
In it he argues that despite these austere times, appeals don't have to be serious and downbeat. In fact, more than ever, supporters are looking for engagement, interaction and even fun!
He demonstrates how charities both large and small have spiced up their asks in very interesting and supporter-delighting ways. If you would like to know more or to request a copy of the presentation, email us today.
Oxfam, Rankin & Tangible
June 16th 2011 POSTED BY: Tangible
We’ve been involved with Oxfam’s latest acquisition appeal recruiting regular givers to the cause.
It’s been a great example of a ‘brand response’ campaign, tieing in with a national poster and online campaign and using powerful, provocative photography (of people holding their whole day's food in their hands) taken by world-renowned photographer Rankin.
As well as being brand-literate and integrated, our work is carefully-crafted with our direct marketing expertise to maximise response and retention rates.
For people in the developing world struggling to get enough food to eat, the system's bust. Oxfam's supporters can help fix it.
Three wise men at the IOF Convention
June 16th 2011 POSTED BY: Tangible
Three of Tangible's leading lights will be speaking at the upcoming IOF Convention (4 - 6 July).
Managing Partner Guy Harris will be speaking on how to integrate direct and digital communications – something we're doing for our clients more and more.
Strategy Partner Paul Handley will exploring supporter engagement – why it's important and how to achieve it.
And Principal Consultant Stephen Pidgeon will be looking a legacies – the good, the bad and the very, very ugly.
We're also co-sponsoring the evening comedy event – so do come say hello. In fact, to start the evening off, Nick Thomas is collecting people's amusing anecdotes from their fundraising careers – so if you have any to share, please email him asap!
Client win: Practical Action
June 16th 2011 POSTED BY: Tangible
We're delighted to welcome new client Practical Action, after winning the pitch to work with them on their supporter development programme.
Practical Action has a very distinctive proposition: providing innovative solutions, through simple technology, to help communities in the developing world. The zeer pot pictured above is a great example – in places without powered refrigeration, a double-wall zeer pot (lined with damp sand) can keep food cool, so tomatoes (for instance) stay fresh up to for 10 times as long.
We're looking forward to using direct and digital media to really bring these innovative ideas to life and make Practical Action as famous as they deserve to be!
